VisibleGif - Examples
This web page lists examples of how VisibleGif can be used.
An actual example
This real life example starts with an original icon image as supplied by a major design agency of size 899 bytes and improves it so the same image is 76 bytes.
Examples for structured learning
The examples demonstrate the key features of VisibleGif using variants of the same simple icon image.
It is best to review the examples in the order given. Each example builds on the previous one. The examples assume you are able to create and save text files and that you can run programs as part of command files in a command window.

Notes
The user interface for VisibleGif is designed to be easily built into automated procedures requiring little or no manual intervention after initial set up. The VisibleGif XML files can be dynamically created by any text file generation programs. Sed and Awk are text editor programs which are commonly used in the Unix world.
Manual hand crafting of images is expensive and should be used only in high value images. There are many excellent image editor programs which can be used for producing one-off images.
